Summary

Yagi WiFi scans nearby Wi-Fi networks to help technicians and installers. All information is processed locally on your device. The app does not collect, store on servers, share, or sell any personal data. The app works without an account, without registration, and without an internet connection. In fact, the app does not even request Android's Internet permission — it has no technical means of transmitting data.

Data we do NOT collect

• We do not request or store your name, email, phone number, or any identifiers.
• We do not transmit any data off your device.
• We do not use analytics services or advertising.
• We do not sell or share information with third parties.

Permissions we request and why

• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Android requires this permission for any app to be able to scan Wi-Fi networks (because the visible networks could reveal your location). Yagi WiFi uses it solely to obtain the list of networks; we do not calculate, store, or transmit your geographic location.
• Wi-Fi state (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): to read the visible networks, their signal, and your connection status.

What the app processes (on-device only)

Network names (SSID), access point identifiers (BSSID), signal strength, channel, band, and technical capabilities of nearby networks. This information is displayed on screen, is ephemeral, and never leaves the device.

Children

The app is a general-purpose technical tool; it is not directed at children and does not collect data from any user, including children.

Future changes

If a future version introduces advertising or in-app purchases, this policy will be updated BEFORE that version is published, and Google Play's Data safety summary will be corrected accordingly.
